The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on October 29.
